There is a difference between being kind and being a doormat. Scripture tells us to "be wise as serpents and innocent as doves" (Matthew 10:16). Boundaries are not walls—they are fences with gates. They protect what is sacred while still allowing love to flow freely.

I'm learning that saying no to what drains me is saying yes to what God has called me to. And that is not selfish—it is stewardship.
